Espresso Martini

Well, you are probably not going to believe this, since I've lived in Maine my whole adult life. But I've never, ever, had Allen's Coffee Flavored Brandy. I know, it is probably the Maine State Liquor, if there is such a thing. But brandy has never been my cup of tea.

As you can see from the previous blog post, I have the Sweetened Coffee Concentrate. So I'll give this a whirl. If it is awful, I can always feed it to my aloe plant, right?

A measure of brandy, a measure of another liquor, and a little coffee concentrate. Oh, and ice. The recipe then says to shake hard "in a mixing tin" for thirty seconds. Hmmm, problem here. What to use for a mixing tin, since I don't have one (I think in my dad's day, they called them cocktail shakers?).  Ah, yes, I do have something with a cap on it! My Dunkin travel mug! That'll do!

Well, seeing as how it's about 80 degrees outside. And seeing as how I do love coffee. This is actually rather nice for sipping on a hot day! Oh, and the glass I chose is from a local distillery, Sweetgrass. Cheers!
